Surfs Up… get on board!

Published on news by Murray Holmes

So what does Christian Surfers on the Mornighton Peninsula (CSMP) look like this year in 2016??? Surfing, Surfing, Surfing…….yewww!!!!!!

We do a BBQ breakfast (egg & bacon sangas) and surf session hangout on every 1st & 3rd Saturday of each month. This is somewhat flexible of course, if the waves are going to be pumping on Sunday morning instead, we will reschedule, and as most of us know, how awesome is it to be a part of Liquid Church where our services start at 4:00pm on a Sunday arvo, yewww !!! how cool is our God.

Our mission statement is, “That all surfers in all communities have a chance to know and to follow Jesus”.

I’m sure Jesus would be a surfer if He was on earth today and probably go to Liquid Church too haha!

Through the winter months we will be scheduling in some pizza / bible study hangout nights as well for those not keen enough to brave the oceans arctic chill.

So you don’t surf yet but I would love to?? or you ride a boogie board or a mal or a SUP, If you are young or old, whatever, it doesn’t matter…. CSMP is about being all things for all men (and women) 1 Cor 9:22-23.

We are planning a few ‘learn to surf’ days for the grommets down at Phillip Island through the warmer months where the waves are more suited for the beginners. But there will still be plenty of opportunity for the more ripping ones to search for better waves while we’re down there too, then all get together after a surf for a BBQ lunch.

If this sounds as though it may be something for you to come along and hangout or even step into what you feel God maybe laying on your heart in ministry, please give me a call or connect on our FB page to keep up to speed on what’s happening from week to week. We will also be doing updates on the Liquid Church Newsletters as well.

Stay cool…stay real for Jesus!
